What’s New in Summer Fashion: Fresh Arrivals Presented
Summer has finally arrived (it was about time!), bringing with it a new wave of stylish outfits and trends. If you haven't been keeping up with our latest arrivals on Instagram, Facebook, or Telegram, here's a quick overview of what's hot and popping this season.
At BIF, we’re always scouting for exciting new brands and the latest fashion trends to bring to Luxembourg. One standout collection that has recently caught our eye and thus, might catch yours during your next visit in our Diekirch store is from Monique Garçonne, previously called ‘Les Bourdelles des Garçons’. “I’ve worked with them for quite some time, before they went on a two-year hiatus during which they completely rebranded themselves. For this Spring-Summer season, they’ve come back with a fresh take on classic styles, using more premium fabrics”, explains our founder, Iuliia Grinkiv. “Since it’s their first collection after the rebranding, this collection was very limited, but the designs were so special, that I simply couldn’t resist.” Special they are indeed and honestly, who could resist the plethora of blazer-short sets and skirt-sets that are currently gracing our store in lime green, fuchsia and sky blue?
Another brand that has made its debut in the BIF-quarters is Barbara Alvisi. “They’re simply incredible when it comes to anything and everything woven”, Iuliia shares. “Their materials feel luxurious to the touch and the styles are perfect for everyday wear. Especially during the hotter summer months, I think it’s important to have things in the wardrobe that keep you cool, while also allowing you to look put-together and elegant with minimum effort involved, so we’re very excited to be able to make our customers discover them.”
Next up: skirts with unique cuts are a major trend this season. Whether you're into asymmetrical denim skirts or cargo-inspired maxi pieces, our collection offers something for every style preference. Extra shoutout goes to our voluminous balloon mini skirts, available in bold red and classic white, that make for the perfect blend of casual and chic.
Love it or hate it, but Bermuda shorts are back, also at BIF. Legend has it, the shorts first became a topic of conversation during WWI when naval officers were having their cup of tea in business owner Nathanial Coxon’s teashop in Bermuda. Due to the high outdoor temperatures, influx in clients and… well, the tea itself, the shop quickly turned into a sauna, which the employees, whose uniform consisted of a smart navy blue blazer and khaki pants, complained about. Coxon saw the issue, but didn’t want to spend money on a whole new attire for his employees. Instead, he took the khaki pants and cut them off just above knee-length, creating the very first pairs of Bermuda shorts. We’ve come a long way since then, creating them in all different shapes and colourways, for example made out of 100% cotton material or in jeans.

Our founder, Iuliia Grinkiv, highlights one of her favourite: the white “Babylon” midi dress with black polka dots. “The dress is made from natural materials, offering exceptional comfort on warmer days. It maintains its shape without being restrictive and strikes the perfect balance between simplicity and uniqueness. What more could a girl ask for?”
